In Bed With Vuoteenoma

A Kinetic self-portrait of the artist and other visual artefacts to make stay awake.

The elaboration of this exhibition began with pattern floating over the mirror.

Self-reflection is stationary or is mobile. The hands lead to new shapes and surprises as they work. Frankenstein wanted to create a stronger and more beautiful version of himself. On this occation, the product designer in me accommodates various technical functions in doppelgänger. The cursed Narcissus did not love anyone until he stared at his mirror image, for eternity. Madonna with her court is playing truth or dare in her bed.

While asleep, the bodily functions of a living being keep running and the individual is gathering strength for the future. The dream is filled with elements of the real world that filter out simulated situations and realities at the behest of the seer, which sometimes give hints of inaccessible objects, animals, and entities in the daily consciousness.

Artistry as a profession is a freakshow. Playing and messing things up is innate to the human being. At the same time, in most areas of specialization, it is intolerated to mix things up in order to maintain the functionality of the activity. Would it be possible that this inner artist would not be killed at any point? What if the alternative of part time dysfunctionality were dispensed evenly among people? Could the making of art be compared to the need for rest, which gives pace to a person’s life? Potential health benefits of artistry include broadening personal horizons, rising awareness, dematerialization, inner integrity – just like after a good night’s sleep.

At the center of the In bed with Vuoteenoma exhibition is my performative self-portrait Toy boy, surrounded by handcrafted images of various abandoned materials, which present my artistic production, mixed waste method.

The processing of this exhibition ended with pattern floating over the mirror.
